MY PROFILE
About me....
I am a maker. If I am not creating something my mental health will suffer for it! This is definitely a trait I inherited from my Grandma Dee. In fact, it was the same amazing woman who first taught me to craft. I was always begging to go to her house when I was a girl whether it was to make decoupage garbage pails from fabric, mod podge, and ice cream pails or to learn to crochet when I was old enough. Low and behold I was the lucky girl to inherit this antique loom when I became an adult and it became too much for Grandma to keep up with. This loom was her best friend... her confidant.. She told me she got a lot of good thinking done when she was weaving and, like me, it kept her sane.
After I graduated from Esterhazy High School I was accepted into the Applied Photography program in Regina, SK. After I finished the program I went on to work in various photo labs in Regina as well as framing and editing for a professional photographer. Once I decided to move home to Stockholm, SK I landed a job at the Mosaic potash mines in the area and I have been a potash miner ever since. Shift work, as difficult as it is, allows me some of the extra time it requires to craft my heart away. Thank you for visiting my little space on the web. I hope you enjoy what you find here! So much love.....
